About the Department

Established in 2014, the Department of Mathematics at Malankara Catholic College is a hub of academic excellence and research innovation.

The department consists of a team of well-qualified, experienced, and skilled faculty members who contribute to the holistic development of students. Presently, the department offers B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D. programmes. Besides organizing conferences, workshops, seminars, and LaTeX/Python training programmes, the department provides individual motivation through bridge, remedial, and enrichment programmes. A well-stocked department library (500+ books) and a dedicated computer lab support both students and staff.

Recognized as a preferred research centre for students from Kanyakumari and Thiruvananthapuram districts, the department fosters a vibrant research culture with active publications in Scopus and UGC-CARE journals.
