📌 General Discipline & Code of Conduct

The college expects the students to maintain high standards of discipline, ideal behaviour and dress codes to keep up the reputation of our institution. The following guidelines are issued for strict observation.

  1. Students are expected to maintain the highest standards of discipline and dignified manner of behavior inside as well as outside the College campus.
  2. Students are expected to maintain silence in the academic buildings to maintain the decorum and, any deviant behavior such as hooting, whistling, loitering and such others will be treated as an instance of indiscipline.
  3. The college has a stipulated uniform. Students are expected to wear clean and decent dress. Any dress code violation noticed could initiate further disciplinary actions.
  4. Students should keep their vehicles only at the place allotted for the purpose. As per the Government order, students shall not bring racing vehicles inside the campus.
  5. Misbehavior towards students of the opposite gender, use of threat or violence against members of the staff or fellow students will be considered as very serious cases of misconduct.
  6. Harassing juniors, ill treatment to other fellow students or any such form of ragging are objectionable and liable to be treated as criminal offence by the law enforcing agencies as per the directives of Hon'ble Supreme Court of India.
  7. Students shall handle the college properties with care and keep the surroundings clean and healthy. Do not put any waste anywhere in the campus except in the dust bins.
  8. Students shall not disfigure college wall, furniture, etc. with writing or engravings.
  9. Smoking, consumption of alcoholic drinks and any such illegal activities, playing cards, gambling of any kind shall be an offence and offenders shall be seriously dealt with.
  10. Students are forbidden to attend or organize any meeting in the college or to collect money for any purpose. They should not circulate any notice or petition or paste it anywhere in the college premises.
  11. All the students shall wear their identity cards, well displayed in the College campus.
  12. Students shall stand up when the teacher enters the class and resume seat with his/her permission.
  13. No student shall enter and leave the class without the permission of the teacher.
  14. Students shall remain in the library/waiting room during free hours and utilize the time meaningfully.
  15. Irregular attendance, insubordination to teachers, non-teaching staff and college authorities, and obscenity in word or deed shall be seriously dealt with.
  16. Students are advised to pay attention to the notifications appearing on the notice board from time to time so that they may be well informed about the day-to-day affairs of the college.
  17. Use of mobile phones is strictly banned in the college campus.
  18. Complaints, if any, may be lodged in writing through proper channel.

⏰ Working Days & Class Hours

The College works under the five-day system with two sessions - morning session is divided into three periods and afternoon session is divided into two periods. There is lunch break in between the two sessions.

Morning session: 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Afternoon session: 1:10 p.m. – 2:55 p.m.
Special coaching for NET/Competitive examination: 3:05 – 4:00 p.m.

📋 Attendance and Leave of Absence

  • Attendance will be taken at the beginning of each period.
  • Students shall not be allowed to leave the class without the permission of the teacher.
  • Late-comers shall enter the class only with the permission of the teacher.
  • Students are not permitted to absent themselves from classes without leave. Leave applications endorsed by the parent shall be submitted to the Principal duly recommended by the group tutor/the Head of the Department.
  • Absence during a period shall be treated as absence from a session either forenoon or afternoon and absence for two periods from two sessions as absence for the whole day.
  • Leave on health grounds shall be supported by medical certificate.
  • Absence of a student without leave for more than 15 consecutive working days will entail removal of his/her name from the rolls.
  • Those who absent from test-papers/Terminal Examinations shall be liable to disciplinary actions.
  • Attendance statements will be published and intimated to parent / guardian on term wise at the time of PTA meeting.
  • 75% attendance is mandatory for appearing University examinations. If the attendance percentage is in between 60% and 75%, students have to undergo condonation as per University norms. If the attendance percentage is below 60%, students will not be permitted to write the examination and have to repeat the semester.
