Sr. Serine (Office Superintendent), members of the Governing Board, respected parents, beloved staff and dear students – warm good morning and 28th Annual Day Greetings to you all.

It is my honour to stand before you on this auspicious occasion. This day is both a celebration and a moment of reflection – to pay tribute to the enduring legacy of our predecessors and to gratefully acknowledge the invaluable contributions of the entire college fraternity.

This academic year is blessed with numerous achievements, meaningful events, and impactful initiatives, reflecting our commitment to academic excellence and social responsibility. Throughout the year, our students and faculty exhibited commendable progress in academics, research, and innovation. With the blessings of Almighty God, I present before this august gathering a brief overview of the major initiatives, undertakings, and accomplishments of MCC. The detailed report will be made available on the college website shortly.

🏛️ Administrative Transitions

The college reopened for this academic year on 16th June 2026, ushering in a new academic session filled with renewed enthusiasm.

  • 20th June 2026: Very Rev. Fr. Franklin Jose assumed office as Correspondent/Secretary, succeeding Rev. Fr. Aruldhas.
  • 20th June 2026: Dr. T. Peter Amaladhas retired from the post of Principal.
  • 7th January 2026: Dr. T. Subash was appointed as the succeeding Principal. In the interim, Mr. G. Ravi Selva Kumar (Assistant Professor & Head, Dept. of Computer Science) served as Principal In‑charge.

The College offers 14 Undergraduate Programmes, 11 Postgraduate Programmes, and 6 Research Departments. Current student strength: 995, supported by 92 teaching staff and 66 non‑teaching staff.

📚 Academic & Research Achievements

  • Doctoral degrees: 3 faculty members and 21 research scholars were awarded Ph.D. this academic year.
  • Research publications: Faculty published 121 research articles in reputed journals.
  • University examination results (April 2025): 83% pass with 4 Gold Medals; awaiting complete rank list.
  • 2024 academic year (consolidated): MCC secured 44 University ranks including 5 Gold Medals.
  • Sports achievement: MCC Football Team won the Inter-Collegiate Football Winners Trophy – 2026 of Manonmaniam Sundaranar University.
