The Youth Red Cross (YRC) is a volunteer-based humanitarian group affiliated with the Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS), established in India in 1920. Youth Red Cross Unit – Malankara Catholic College, Mariagiri actively functions under the Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS), Tirunelveli Chapter. Dr. T. Subash, Principal, serves as the Chairman. The unit conducts regular first-aid training, blood donation camps, health awareness drives, HIV/AIDS prevention programs, and community service camps. Over 150 active student volunteers are dedicated to the motto "Service to the suffering".
