About the Department
The Department of Biotechnology was established in August 2001 with the undergraduate program followed by the postgraduate program in June 2003 and M.Phil Programme in September 2007. We are proud to have a team of highly dedicated, qualified and experienced teachers. Ever since its inception, the department has grown in leaps and bounds in terms of infrastructure and student's academic performances. The year 2008 was remarkable in department's history as the department was recognized as research center. The department has well equipped laboratory for performing all the techniques related to Biotechnology, Plant and Animal tissue culture. The department has Internet and library facilities within the department apart from the common library. Besides academics, our department has always encouraged the scientific and creative pursuits of our students.
